The DiCoMI project officially started on the 1st of March 2018 and will run for a period of four years. To mark the beginning of the project the coordinator, Loughborough University, organised the kick-off meeting on the 2nd of March 2018 at their premises on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London.
The European and international partners participated in the kick-off meeting either at the venue or by video conference. The consortium discussed the project objectives, the tasks, and defined a work plan for the first year of the project while organising all first year secondments.
The DiCoMI consortium partners will work together and share knowledge in the field of advanced manufacturing techniques, composite materials sciences and manufacturing system design. The outcome will be an innovative hybrid manufacturing system capable of producing composite parts with increased accuracy, reduced cost and enhanced functionality.
