The DiCoMi project is sad to announce that Prof. Ian Campbell is leaving the DiCoMI project to start a new challenge. Prof. Campbell is at the origin of the project idea and he gathered our multi-disciplinary and international consortium of partners to prepare the successful DiCoMI proposal back to 2018. He made a lot as a coordinator which was not easy in the COVID-19 context. The whole consortium thanks him for his hard work and dedication to the project.
Prof. Campbell is giving the lead of the DiCoMI project to Prof. Richard Bibb, an experienced researcher in medical applications of design at Loughborough University. Until June 2018, Prof. Bibb was acting as the Dean of Loughborough Design School and he founded the Design for Digital Fabrication research group (D4DF) which is one of the world's leading research groups in the field of design for Additive Manufacturing and 3D Printing.
Prof. Richard Bibb will be a real asset for the DiCoMI project and his lengthy experience of leading projects and research teams will be definitively appreciated by the team. Moreover, some of our DiCoMI partners already know Prof. Bibb and had the chance ton work with him due to his participation to the former FP7 AdM-ERA project with the partners CMRDI (Egypt), TUCN (Romania) and Intelligentsia (Luxembourg). We are confident in the good coordination skills of Prof. Bibb and on behalf of the whole DiCoMI consortium we are happy to welcome him in the team.
